How can we dedicate ourselves to God?

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Conversation on A9TV dated February 19th, 2018

VTR: How can we dedicate ourselves to God?

ADNAN OKTAR: You are already created with an innate dedication to God. It is just that people have a tendency to resist, which causes the problem. Otherwise, self is created with an innate dedication and submission to God. Think of a violet flower; if you do not harm it, it blossoms, but if you crush it, it withers away. Likewise, when you sow wheat, it sprouts and grows if you leave to its normal routine, but if you go ahead and crush it, it dies. It is the same with humans; when left to their own devices, they believe God in their normal sincere selves. In their normal states, they become decent, proper subjects of God and ultimately end up in heaven. But when they resist, God damns them for committing evil, for their insincere thoughts, for choosing disbelief, for betraying Islam and God, for doubting God, for contemplating evil, for their obsession with instigating mischief, for discarding nice thoughts, for avoiding good deeds. If they chose to be their normal selves, they would become believers. When people are sincere and do not resist their nature, God always awards them with a pleasant life.  But the problem with people is that they cannot help resist their nature. They consider themselves very clever when committing evil deeds. This is a common human quality, that is, thinking one's self to be cunning and wiser than God. This ability to see what others fail to see is a quality of hypocrites as well as many people, too. It is seen in non-hypocrites as well. Their corrupted expressions, loss of reasoning, spouting nonsense, impertinent behavior, depression and sickness stems from this quality, nothing else. It stems from opposing God.
