Causation’ is an artistry of God

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Conversation on A9TV dated November 19th, 2016

ADNAN OKTAR: Almighty God created the beautiful tables, and the small trinkets we have here. He created these crystal bird trinkets, and if God willed it, these bird trinkets would fly. This is how it is in heaven; but in order not to eliminate the free will, everything is established upon a perfect artistry that is called 'causes'. For example, when a person goes to the bathroom and turns on the tap, water immediately comes out. "Where does it come from?" people ask. "It comes from the water reservoir," they say. It does not come from the water reservoir; it is created at the mouth of the faucet. Notice that, it is not even created in the pipes within the wall; it is created right at the mouth of the faucet. But we find it totally normal, so that the free will is not eliminated. There are power sockets that help us do many things once we plug in the television, radio, hairdryer, washing machine, and refrigerator. Everything is done through the mere half-a-centimeter hole where the positive electricity comes out. A whole house is illuminated and heated, meals are cooked. People watch television, power their electric razors; anything you can imagine. God merely renders that hole a ‘cause.’ "What is in there?" you ask, and they answer, "Electricity." "Where does it come from?" you ask, and they answer, "From the power plant." It does not come from the power plant, it is not even electricity itself that does all these; God does all directly. For example, God directly creates the light. But He put in place a perfect system called 'causation.' There is an intricate detail found in the cell; this system of cause, this system of meaning is even more complicated than that. And this system is currently operational. For example, we wish to talk, and the moment we intend to do so, we begin to speak. It is not generated in the throat or the mouth, there is no such thing. But we immediately hear the speech. Look, Jesus Messiah (pbuh) says: "If you truly believed, you could walk on water." In other words, it is as if walking on a pavement. How does a person walk on a pavement, it is quite ordinary right? So, if one knew walking on water just as ordinary as walking on a pavement, he could walk on water without sinking. In other words, the whole point is to have a certain belief in it within the system of causes. When one absolutely believes, it happens. For example, when you flick the switch, the light is on. But if the person were told it as if it was a miracle, it would shock him right? If he was told, "You will flick a switch and everywhere will be brightly illuminated," he would not believe it. But at the flick of a switch, everywhere becomes illuminated. God rendered that switch a cause. But people absolutely believe in that switch except power outages. When it is flicked, the light comes on.

We should write a book on the subject of causation. The artistry of causation is quite essential. It is similar to the system of the universe except more complicated and harder to understand. For example, God created shadow as a cause of light. It is hard to create shadow. It is harder than creating light. Because every angle of the shadow has to be perfect and in complete conformance with the laws of physics. As you know from the laws of physics that the shadow of an object has to fall in complete relevance to the source of light; it is a miracle of engineering. God creates a flawless shadow system. We can write a book on this subject.
